The West Barracks represents the history of soldiers, physicians, nurses and laborers who built, shaped and nurtured their community. On this tour you’ll explore a neighborhood where the Army’s non-commissioned officers and their families resided, visit the Red Cross Building, and learn about the year that the 24th Infantry Regiment of Buffalo Soldiers served at Vancouver Barracks.

This 60 minute tour covers a leisurely .25 mile stroll through the West Barracks and will include a visit to the Red Cross Building. Please meet your tour guide at the south entrance of The Artillery Barracks, 600 Hatheway Rd., Vancouver, WA 98661. Although this is a free tour, donations are appreciated and support Education Programs at The Historic Trust. Space is limited, so registration is required.
